Pakistan, Sept. 26 -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has called for a new chapter in China-US relations, urging Beijing and Washington to act as "responsible major countries," manage their differences and build a constructive relationship of strategic stability.

Speaking at a state dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump at the White House on Thursday, Xi said his talks with Trump had produced "sincere and in-depth exchanges" and a common understanding on a number of issues, providing fresh strategic guidance for the relationship between the world's two largest economies.
