Pakistan, Sept. 7 -- Construction work on Jabba Dam in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber district has been temporarily suspended due to security concerns, officials from the Irrigation Department and district administration said on Sunday. According to sources, security arrangements are expected to be completed soon, after which construction work on the dam will resume. Officials said the construction company had already been facing security threats, while three security guards deployed at the dam have reportedly gone missing. To prevent further damage, machinery and construction equipment have been shifted from the site. The provincial government has allocated Rs8 billion for the construction of the dam.
