Pakistan, July 13 -- Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Monday said empowering women is essential for national progress, stressing that Islam provides clear guidance on women's rights. Addressing the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women in Islamabad, she reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to expanding opportunities for women. Her remarks focused on education, digital skills, healthcare, and economic inclusion.

Maryam Nawaz said it was an honour to participate in the ministerial conference. She stated that the Punjab government is working to improve women's financial inclusion and create greater business opportunities. She added that empowering women benefits not only one segment of society but the nation as a whole.
