WASHINGTON, April 9 -- The White House has confirmed that Lebanon is not included in the recently announced two-week ceasefire between the United States (US) and Iran, even as Israel intensifies airstrikes across Lebanese territory.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the truce applies strictly to Washington and Iran, clarifying that "Lebanon is not part of the ceasefire." She added that this position has been clearly communicated to all relevant parties.
