Responding through a video message, the former Pakistan captain reassured fans that he was healthy and criticised the spread of AI-generated misinformation that had caused unnecessary concern among his followers.

Addressing those who believed the fabricated claims, Akram sarcastically responded to people asking whether he was still alive, saying he was clearly recording the video himself. He also questioned why many social media users continue to fall for fake content despite growing awareness about artificial intelligence and digitally manipulated videos.
