Pakistan, July 14 -- The death toll from last month's twin earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 4,561, with thousands more injured as rescue and recovery efforts continue. Authorities said the disaster has displaced thousands of families and caused widespread destruction across affected areas. The government is also seeking access to frozen overseas assets to support reconstruction.

National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez said 16,740 people were injured in the June 24 earthquakes, while authorities have assisted more than 128,000 families.
