Pakistan, July 4 -- The death toll from the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela last month has risen to 2,645, while the number of injured has reached 12,666, according to the latest figures released by Venezuelan authorities as rescue, relief and reconstruction efforts continue across the affected regions.

The two powerful earthquakes, both measuring above magnitude 7.0, struck on June 24, causing widespread destruction, particularly in the coastal state of La Guaira, north of the capital, Caracas.
