Pakistan, July 2 -- The death toll from the devastating Venezuela earthquake that struck last week has risen to 2,295, as rescue teams continue searching for survivors. Thousands of people have also been reported injured or missing, while relief efforts remain underway across the affected regions.
According to Jorge Rodriguez, President of Venezuela's National Assembly, the number of injured and missing people is still in the thousands. The United Nations estimates that as many as 6.8 million people may have been affected by the disaster.
