Pakistan, April 7 -- US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Budapest on Tuesday for a two-day visit aimed at supporting Hungary Prime Minister Viktor Orban ahead of the country's April 12 parliamentary elections, as tensions continue to rise in the ongoing US-Israeli war against Iran.

Vance, accompanied by his wife Usha, was welcomed by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto upon arrival. Speaking before departing Washington, Vance expressed optimism about strengthening bilateral ties and discussing European security, referring to Orban as a close ally.
