Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- The USS George Washington has begun moving toward the Middle East amid concerns about conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. The Pacific-based carrier left Vietnam last week with a cruiser and destroyer. The group has since crossed the Singapore Strait and entered waters linking the Pacific with the Indian Ocean. The move could eventually replace the long-deployed Lincoln, according to reports.
