Pakistan, July 23 -- An American woman who was allegedly sexually assaulted at her apartment in Karachi Defence Housing Authority (DHA) has recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate as the investigation into the case continues.

According to court proceedings, the victim appeared before Judicial Magistrate (South) Saima Katto, where her statement was recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC). The statement was subsequently sealed and will form part of the evidence in the ongoing investigation.
