Pakistan, Sept. 11 -- The United States has decided to provide Saudi Arabia with intelligence on Yemen's Houthis. Washington will share information that could help identify Houthi targets, according to a US official.

The official said the intelligence would support Saudi Arabia in dealing with threats from the Houthis. However, the United States currently has no plans for direct military intervention against the group.

Around 200 US military personnel are already stationed in Saudi Arabia, according to the official. Their current role involves providing non-military assistance to the Saudi government.
