Pakistan, July 14 -- The United States (US) is set to begin enforcing a maritime blockade on Iran from 2000 GMT on July 14, marking a significant escalation in tensions between Washington and Tehran amid the ongoing regional conflict.

According to an advisory issued by the US Navy-led Joint Maritime Information Center (JMIC), the blockade will cover all Iranian ports, oil terminals and coastal areas.
