Pakistan, April 24 -- A US Army soldier has been charged with using classified military intelligence to place bets on the capture of former Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro, in a case raising serious concerns about the misuse of sensitive information.

According to the US Department of Justice, the suspect - identified as Gannon Ken Van Dyke - allegedly earned more than $400,000 by wagering on an online prediction platform about the outcome of a covert US military operation in Caracas.
