Pakistan, Sept. 24 -- US President Donald Trump welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping to Washington on Wednesday. The three-day visit comes as the two countries face tensions over trade, technology, Taiwan and Iran.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington and Beijing had agreed to extend their 11-month trade truce. He said the extension would run until January 10 instead of November 10. However, China's embassy in Washington did not immediately comment on the reported agreement.
