Pakistan, May 2 -- The United States (US) has imposed fresh sanctions on a Chinese oil terminal as part of its latest measures targeting Iran's energy exports, amid continued tensions over maritime security and sanctions enforcement.

According to the United States Department of State, sanctions were placed on Qingdao Haiye Oil Terminal Co., Ltd. for allegedly importing large volumes of Iranian crude oil. US officials claim the company handled tens of millions of barrels, helping Iran generate billions of dollars in revenue despite existing restrictions.
