Pakistan, May 2 -- The United States (US) has announced plans to withdraw approximately 5,000 troops from Germany within the next year, marking a significant shift in its military posture in Europe and adding strain to already tense transatlantic relations.

According to the Pentagon, the decision was issued by US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth following a comprehensive review of American force deployment across Europe.
