Pakistan, April 25 -- The US Department of Justice has filed a civil case seeking to revoke the citizenship of a Pakistani-born doctor convicted in a child exploitation case, according to official statements released on Saturday.

The case targets Hassan Sherjil Khan, who was previously convicted under US federal law for offences involving a minor. Prosecutors allege that he began communicating with an 11-year-old girl online around 2007 or 2008 and continued contact over several years, coercing the victim into sharing explicit material and participating in online sexual activity.
