Pakistan, Aug. 29 -- The six-month Iran war has placed heavy emotional and financial pressure on many US military families. Relatives continue to cope with long separations, uncertainty, and constant concern for deployed service members.

The United States has more than 50,000 troops stationed across the region. It has also deployed thousands of additional Marines and sailors. Eighteen US service members have died during the conflict, while more than 750 have suffered injuries. Consequently, military families have faced repeated periods of anxiety as fighting, peace talks, and diplomatic efforts continued without a lasting settlement.
