Pakistan, May 19 -- The United States has issued a 30-day general licence allowing access to certain Russian oil shipments, in a move aimed at stabilising global energy markets and ensuring continued supply flows amid ongoing geopolitical disruptions.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed that the temporary licence will facilitate access to Russian crude oil that is currently stranded at sea, enabling its delivery to intended destinations under specific conditions.
