Pakistan, Aug. 31 -- Pakistan's economic growth and inflation outlook face risks from the ongoing US-Iran conflict, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said Monday. He said the government expects economic growth above 4% during the current fiscal year. However, continuing regional tensions could affect both inflation and gross domestic product.
Speaking in Islamabad, Aurangzeb said Pakistan was moving from economic stabilisation toward stronger growth. He linked the outlook to developments surrounding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. The minister also expressed hope that the conflict would reach a lasting solution soon.
