Pakistan, Oct. 9 -- The Trump administration has frozen some green-card applications involving major technology companies over alleged fraud. The move affects firms including Microsoft, Adobe, Infosys and several major IT outsourcers.

US Vice President JD Vance said the administration was targeting abuse of skilled-worker immigration programmes. He accused Microsoft of hiring foreign workers at the expense of American employees. Labour Secretary Keith Sonderling also announced suspensions involving Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL and Capgemini.
