Pakistan, July 22 -- The United States carried out its 11th consecutive night of airstrikes on Iran on Wednesday, with fresh attacks triggering air defence systems in Tehran as tensions between the two countries continued to escalate.

According to the US military, the latest strikes targeted military logistics infrastructure and other strategic sites aimed at weakening Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
