Pakistan, July 28 -- The United States (US) has confirmed that a new round of Israel-Lebanon talks will take place in Rome from August 4 to 6, with discussions focused on implementing a framework agreement aimed at reducing tensions along the two countries' border.

According to a US State Department official, the negotiations will center on Israel's planned withdrawal from two "pilot zones" in southern Lebanon, resolving outstanding border issues, and advancing a broader peace and security agreement.
