US carrier Abraham Lincoln heads to Thailand
Pakistan, Aug. 25 -- The US Navy's aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has left the Middle East after a lengthy deployment. The carrier is expected to reach Thailand next week after its extended mission.
A Thai official said around 5,000 US Navy and Marine personnel will receive rest. The personnel will get a break following their long deployment and sea journey. The carrier's arrival will provide time for the crew to recover.
The USS Abraham Lincoln left San Diego on November 21, 2025. It spent more than 250 days deployed before leaving the Middle East this month. The deployment continued through the period of the Iran war.
