Pakistan, July 9 -- The United States has approved the sale of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Germany, strengthening Berlin's long-range strike capabilities. The agreement was announced following discussions between German and U.S. officials during the NATO summit in Ankara. The move is expected to enhance Germany's defense readiness and reinforce NATO's collective deterrence.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the NATO summit produced better-than-expected results. He confirmed that Germany had agreed with the United States to purchase Tomahawk missiles, which will be deployed in the country. He described the acquisition as a step toward closing a critical strategic gap in Germany's defense capabilities.
