Pakistan, Sept. 6 -- US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee met Palestinian Americans in Turmus Ayya amid rising settler violence in the occupied West Bank. Some of those he met had relatives who were killed by Israeli settlers.

The visit came as international criticism grows over attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians. Israel has condemned the violence, but perpetrators are rarely arrested or prosecuted.

Huckabee described the meeting as constructive and said Israel should take action against those involved in criminal acts and terrorism. He called violent settlers a small group that was damaging Israel's international reputation.
