Pakistan, July 22 -- The United States and China plan to hold official talks on artificial intelligence in September, according to sources familiar with the matter. The dialogue aims to address risks posed by increasingly advanced AI models. The discussions reflect growing concern over AI's security and economic impact.

According to Reuters, the talks are expected before Chinese President Xi Jinping's planned September 24 visit to the United States. The meeting follows agreements reached during the Trump-Xi summit in May. However, officials have not finalised the date or venue.
