Pakistan, Sept. 21 -- A UNICEF delegation visited a three-month-old tourism management and tourist guide training programme in Nagarparkar, being implemented by the Thar Education Alliance (TEA) with support from Bank Alfalah, and reviewed efforts to equip local youth with skills for the tourism sector.

The delegation, comprising UNICEF Sindh Chief Field Office Prem Chand, Social Policy Specialist Sajjad Imran, Education Officer Gulnaz and WASH and Climate Specialist Zahida, met 25 trainees enrolled in the programme and discussed the role of locally trained tourist guides in promoting Tharparkar's historical, cultural and natural heritage.
