Pakistan, July 27 -- Ukraine launched a series of drone strikes on Russian regions, killing at least five people, according to Russian officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed attacks on strategic facilities far from the front line. The strikes mark another escalation in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian forces targeted an export terminal in Russia's Rostov region. He added that strikes also hit oil facilities in the Yaroslavl region and the Udmurt Republic. According to him, some targets were located hundreds of kilometres from Ukraine.
