Pakistan, July 5 -- Ukraine launched a large-scale overnight drone attack targeting oil infrastructure in and around Russia's second-largest city, St Petersburg, as Kyiv intensified efforts to disrupt Russia's energy supply network. At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected Russian claims that Moscow's forces had captured the strategically important eastern city of Kostiantynivka, calling the assertion false.

Russian officials said the attacks struck an oil terminal in St Petersburg and the area around Vysotsk port in the Leningrad region, an important hub handling oil, grain, coal, and liquefied natural gas.
