Pakistan, April 13 -- Britain will not support any blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said. He stated that the UK does not want to be drawn into the Iran conflict. The comments come amid rising tensions over maritime security in the Gulf. Starmer emphasized the importance of keeping the waterway open.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Starmer said reopening the Strait of Hormuz is a top priority. He added that Britain is focusing its efforts on restoring safe navigation. He also confirmed that UK naval capabilities in the region are aimed at securing passage. However, he avoided commenting on specific military operations.
