Pakistan, July 30 -- The UK Health Security (UKHSA) has reported a sharp rise in heat-related deaths during this year's summer, with fatalities nearly doubling compared with the same period last year. According to the latest data, an estimated 2,877 heat-related deaths were recorded during the major heatwaves in May and June, highlighting the growing health impact of prolonged periods of extreme heat across the country. Officials warned that the figures remain provisional but are already approaching previous annual records.
