Pakistan, July 4 -- The United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan have signed a £4.6 billion ($6.1 billion) agreement to develop a next-generation stealth fighter jet. The deal marks a major milestone in the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) and strengthens trilateral defence cooperation. The sixth-generation aircraft is expected to enter military service in 2035.
The British government described the agreement as a key step in advancing the ambitious fighter jet programme. Officials said the aircraft will operate alongside Typhoon and F-35 fighter jets, as well as autonomous military systems. Furthermore, the project aims to modernise future air combat capabilities through advanced technologies.
