Pakistan, Aug. 9 -- Typhoon Dolphin struck Japan's southern Okinawa prefecture on Saturday, injuring six people and disrupting power supplies. China also closed ports and suspended ferries ahead of the storm's expected landfall.
Five elderly people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in Okinawa, while another person was injured in Kagoshima. Strong winds caused power outages across both prefectures.

Nearly 39,000 buildings lost power in Kagoshima, while more than 12,000 were affected in Okinawa. ANA and Japan Airlines also cancelled flights to and from Okinawa.
The typhoon brought maximum sustained winds of 162 kilometres per hour, with gusts reaching 216kph....
