Pakistan, July 12 -- After causing widespread damage in the Philippines, Taiwan, and Japan, Typhoon Bavi is expected to make landfall along China's eastern coast this morning. Chinese authorities have taken extensive precautionary measures, evacuating millions of residents from vulnerable coastal areas.

Around two million people have been relocated from coastal areas of Zhejiang Province ahead of the storm. Officials have also canceled more than 400 flights and dozens of train services, while schools, government offices, public transportation, and outdoor activities have been suspended.

In the Philippines, Typhoon Bavi triggered landslides and other weather-related incidents that killed 18 people, while six others remain missing. Emerge...
