Pakistan, Aug. 14 -- Two policemen were killed when unidentified assailants opened fire in the Badami Bagh area of Lahore, according to police sources. Initial reports said the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Badami Bagh, where the attackers opened fire on the policemen and fled the scene. Rescue and police teams rushed to the area after receiving information about the incident and shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital. Police have launched a search operation in the area to trace and arrest the assailants. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
