Pakistan, Aug. 24 -- Two children were killed after debris from a Ukrainian drone fell on a childcare facility. Russian authorities said nine other people were wounded in the incident. The attack occurred in Krasnodar in southern Russia, according to regional officials.

Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported the incident early Monday. He said seven children and two adults suffered injuries. Kondratyev also reported a warehouse fire after another drone reportedly fell onto the facility.

The reported attack came before Ukraine's 35th independence anniversary celebrations. Ukraine was also preparing to host a meeting involving European leaders. The gathering is expected to include members of the Coalition of the Willing.
