Pakistan, Oct. 8 -- Turkiye is assessing how it can assist Saudi Arabia under the Makkah defence agreement. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said officials are examining possible military contributions. The assessment comes amid attacks by Yemen's Houthis against Saudi Arabia.

Fidan said technical evaluations are continuing among Turkish military officials. He said discussions are focusing particularly on possible air defence contributions. The comments came during a joint press conference in Ankara with Hungary's foreign minister.
