Pakistan, July 14 -- Turkiye and Syria have expanded cooperation in the maritime domain as senior military officials held talks in Latakia to strengthen defence relations. The naval engagement reflects increasing coordination between the two countries and focuses on improving military collaboration and supporting Syria's armed forces restructuring efforts.

A Turkish military delegation led by Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercument Tatlioglu visited Syria's Port of Latakia aboard the Turkish frigate TCG Istanbul. The visit was arranged at the invitation of Syrian Navy Commander Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Saud, who welcomed the delegation upon its arrival at the port.
