Pakistan, Aug. 1 -- Turkiye and Iraq have signed a one-year agreement to continue operations of a crude oil pipeline between the two countries. The deal ensures the continued use of the Iraq-Turkiye Pipeline, a key export route for Iraqi oil. The agreement follows the expiry of a previous arrangement.

Turkish Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced the agreement on Saturday. He said the deal was signed between Turkish state energy company BOTAS and Iraq's state oil firms SOMO and NOC. The agreement covers pipeline transit arrangements for one year.
