Pakistan, May 18 -- US President Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning to Iran, urging Tehran to move swiftly towards a peace agreement as tensions between the two countries remain high following months of conflict.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Iran needed to act quickly or face severe consequences. "For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better get moving, fast, or there won't be anything left of them," he wrote.

The warning comes as Washington and Tehran remain locked in a prolonged crisis that began after US and Israeli strikes on Iran in late February, triggering regional instability and disruption to global energy markets.
