JOINT BASE ANDREWS, June 20 -- US President Donald Trump on Friday unveiled a newly designated Air Force One aircraft, a former Qatar-owned Boeing 747 that has been converted into the official presidential jet, during a ceremony at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.

The aircraft, previously owned by Qatar, has been extensively modified to serve as a temporary presidential transport until new Boeing-built aircraft are delivered, expected in 2028. The US Air Force said the jet meets strict security requirements after undergoing significant upgrades.
