Pakistan, Aug. 15 -- US President Donald Trump said he would soon announce plans to declare the Strait of Hormuz US territory. Trump made the remarks during an interview with Fox News as Washington prepares additional economic pressure against Iran.

The US president said tougher measures aim to pressure Tehran into ending the six-month-long war between the two countries. Trump did not provide details about how Washington would seek to establish such a territorial claim over the strategic waterway.
