Pakistan, July 6 -- US President Donald Trump renewed his threat of military action against Iran, saying Washington would use force if ongoing negotiations fail to produce an agreement. While emphasizing that he prefers diplomacy, Trump warned the United States could quickly strike key Iranian infrastructure. His remarks come amid continued efforts to resolve tensions over Iran's nuclear programme.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said the United States faced two options with Iran. "We're either going to make a deal, or we're going to finish the job," he said, adding that military action would not be difficult if negotiations collapsed. He maintained that his preferred outcome remains a negotiated settlement.
