WASHINGTON, June 2 -- US President Donald Trump has said that Israel and Hezbollah have agreed to stop fighting, while also indicating that negotiations with Iran are progressing despite recent tensions linked to Israel's military actions in Lebanon.

In a series of posts on his Truth Social platform on Monday, Trump said he had spoken with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and also communicated with Hezbollah through intermediaries.
