Pakistan, July 24 -- The Trump administration is set to impose new tariffs of 10% and 12.5% on imports from 60 trading partners, replacing a temporary global tariff that expires on Friday and marking another major shift in US trade policy.

The new duties will take effect at 12:01 a.m. EDT under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, following a Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that struck down President Donald Trump's broader reciprocal tariffs introduced under emergency powers. The White House said the latest measures are aimed at addressing what it describes as unfair trade practices linked to inadequate enforcement of forced labour bans.
