Pakistan, Aug. 31 -- An inaugural ceremony of the Towns Premier League (TPL), a tape-ball cricket league being organized at the town level, was held in Karachi to promote sports activities and grassroots cricket across the city.

Provincial Minister for Local Government and Patron-in-Chief of the Towns Premier League, Nasir Hussain Shah, was the chief guest at the ceremony. A total of 26 teams are participating in the TPL Tape-Ball League, comprising 25 teams representing Karachi's towns and one team representing the Mayor of Karachi. The official TPL anthem and team jerseys were also unveiled on the occasion.
