Pakistan, July 21 -- A post on X started a debate after a young woman claimed she earned enough money from TikTok Live to buy a Rs 5 million Honda Civic.

The post caught the attention of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Hina Parvez Butt, who strongly criticised TikTok Live. She said the platform is encouraging "shamelessness" and negatively affecting young people.

The post shared screenshots from a street interview. In the interview, the woman said she earns money by hosting TikTok Live sessions and has 80,000 followers. She claimed her earnings recently allowed her to buy a Honda Civic worth Rs 5 million.
