Pakistan, April 23 -- Taiwan has signed arms procurement agreements worth $6.6 billion with the United States. The deals include advanced rocket systems and artillery purchases. The move is expected to strengthen Taiwan's defense capabilities amid regional tensions.
The agreements were finalized earlier this month and include six separate contracts. Major items include High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and self-propelled howitzers. Funding also covers missile stockpile replenishment and naval defense equipment. The packages aim to modernize Taiwan's military structure.
